Job Details
DescriptionDuties and Responsibilities:
  • Conducts analysis of performance related to response time and workload targets, evaluates other performance indicators. Produces and reports to management on analytical strategies, findings, and improvement modifications which include ongoing response time analysis by hour, day of week, season, and event to meticulously align deployment with demand throughout the year.
  • Conducts analysis of historical data from a variety of sources for use in maintaining a realistic basis for planning and forecasting for essential Agency processes.
  • Generates planning and scheduling deliverables including preparation of schedules, tracking of actual performance against schedules, performing variance analysis.
  • Assists with management of users, employee profiles/schedules and provides training and troubleshooting for the Agency scheduling/payroll software system.
  • Prepares and presents regular and special reporting on system performance, which includes, but is not limited to, the current status of response time performance, transports vs. forecast, system workload measurements vs. forecast, detailed analysis of the previous day(s), schedule forecast for the rest of the week, forecast late call reasons, situational awareness of events. Department reports from public relations, logistics, communication, NET, IT and special operations.
  • Initiates, prepares, distributes and conducts the annual shift bid for all field staff. Uses analytical results to create new shifts or edit current shifts for the annual shift bid and prepares staffing graphs for management review/approval. Focuses on management of the system and balance of unit hour production and demand needs.
  • Facilitates and ensures consistency in data collection, definitions, analyses, and reporting.
  • Participates in Agency improvement initiatives
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
Education/Experience
  • A./B.S. preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1-2 years’ experience in data analysis or forecasting required
  • Proficiency in independent data analysis required
  • Prior knowledge in EMS Operations preferred but not required
  • Project management experience preferred but not required
