SUMMARY
Consultants are responsible for providing one-on-one or group consulting in a supportive environment to students in all disciplines, in order to engage and empower them to become more competent academic and professional writers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSConsultants are responsible for providing one-on-one or group consulting in a supportive environment to students in all disciplines, in order to engage and empower them to become more competent academic and professional writersTeaching in a one-on-one setting is integral to the position, although there is no requirement for teaching beyond the duties of the Writing CenterPerforms other duties as assignedREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / TRAINING
Master's Degree from an accredited college or university (English degrees preferred)Demonstrated writing consultation experience in a tutorial or instructional settingExperience working with community college studentsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
