Position Summary

The primary responsibility of the Press Feeder is to operate the feeder on the large format offset printing press.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Operate press based upon written instructions providedWorks with press crew to ensure each job is produced to customer specifications, meeting internal and external deadlinesVerify that stock matches job specs on ticket before loading pressTransfer paper to and from machinery using industrial trucks or hand trucksRead and understand job ticketsMonitor paper as it runs through the pressMake adjustments to the operations to prevent paper jamsReport the status of projects and any issues of machinery to the head press operatorFollow all safety policies and regulationsAssists in performing routine maintenance on the press with the press team members as requiredPerform other duties as assignedQualifications

Education, Skills, Experience & Abilities :

High school diploma or equivalentMust have a minimum of 2 to 4 years' experience as a Press FeederAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines under pressureAbility to work independently as well as with a crew / teamMust be able to work nights and weekends as neededAbility to lift to 50 pounds occasionallyPhysical Demands & Work Environment

This job operates in a production environment. This role routinely uses standard equipment such as Presses and forklifts.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee isfrequently required to stand; walk; sit; drive; and see.
