Department Arts, Humanities and Social SciencesWorking Hours TBDGeneral DescriptionNiagara County Community College has a need for a part time Music Instructor for our Aural Skills I course.

This course is taught in person in a classroom setting on our Sanborn, NY campus. This course deals with aural perception, audiation, sight-singing and dictation training of rhythm, melody and harmony.

Class sessions will largely consist of individual and group participation activities to build training in aural perception.

Instructional methods will also include listening examples and outside practice.Remuneration for this position is : $884 per lecture hour / $792 per lab hour.

In order to build and maintain an active pool of qualified candidates to meet our present and future needs for this position, Niagara County Community College will accept applications on a continuous basis.

Openings may or may not exist at this time. Applications are evaluated on an as-needed basis, and candidates will be contacted when the department has an opening.

Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree Three years of experience teaching at a high school or college levelDesirable Qualifications Master’s Degree in Music or related field Experience using Microsoft Office software i.
