JOB SUMMARY

Pankow is looking for an enthusiastic marketing and savvy team player to join our team. As part of the Culture and Communications team, you will become part of an energetic group that is working to effectively market and communicate Pankow’s Vision, Mission and Values.

Coordinate efforts for the Culture and Communications team as well as develop, coordinate and implement various internal and external marketing / company-related products and services.

In addition to the department’s day-to-day functions, this position coordinates proposals and interviews with support from Pankow’s Marketing and Communications Specialists.

The Marketing Coordinator supports Pankow to maintain a single, consistent voice and brand in all of its communications.

JOB SCOPE & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Primary AccountabilitiesProposal Management

CORPORATE

Maintain library of up-to-date templates and written copy derived from all marketing pieces to ensure consistent, corporate-wide usageCoordinate project information database to ensure timely, accurate and accessible informationProvide input for best practices and templatesMonitor application of company brand and graphic standards for consistencyProvide assistance as needed for both Pankow’s Northern and Southern California offices.

REGIONAL

Coordinate qualifications, proposal and presentation preparation activities; oversee and participate hands-on in the production of all qualifications, proposal and presentation deliverablesCoordinate the activities of external marketing resources (coaching, photography, graphics and technical writing)Support writing of proposal sections and cover lettersWork with Proposal Lead in developing win strategies and proposal preparation plans that address client’s issues and the RFP / RFQ requirementsBe actively involved in crafting proposal / presentation strategies and messagesCoordinate and develop presentations, including strategy sessions, team meetings, research, design, reproduction, etc.

Organize post-proposal debrief

Communications

Contribute to the development and maintenance of a long-term communications planStrategically recommend external marketing opportunities and manage requests (sponsorships, events, advertising, etc.

by considering company’s strategic regional business plansCoordinate collateral materials development, web updates, regional photography, public relations and advertising, special events, conference planning and award programs for regionCraft effective communication messages to the target audience (internal and external) using a variety of print and digital mediaManage web content and corporate websiteDevelop, film and edit periodic videos and webinarsSupport our culture of being a Learning OrganizationManage Pankow social media accountsTrack and report monthly on Pankow social media and website analyticsAssist with events as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Education / Training

BA / BS degree in Marketing and Communications, Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering or related fieldsKnowledge / Skills / Abilities

Must possess strong writing skills, excellent organization and communicationStrong proposal management skillsAbility to think strategicallyPossesses good time management skills and ability to balance multiple short-term deadlines against long-term goalsProficient in Creative Cloud and graphics programsExcellent computer skills in MS Word, PowerPoint and OutlookDatabase management experience;

CMiC is a plusStrong web and SEO knowledgeMastery of digital communication, i.e. social mediaExperience filming and editing videos and webinars is a plusExperience running email marketing campaignsActive involvement in professional organizations, including SMPS, is a plusWork Experience

Minimum of 1 2 years of experience in Marketing and Proposal Management in the A / E / C industry
