Must be able to stoop bend, walk, and reach heights of six (6)feet, be able to lift or pull book bags and equipment up to fifty ( 50) pounds, push loaded book truck up to three hundred (3 00) pounds, have manual dexterity to operate computer keyboard.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Primarily oversees day-to-day customer service at the Circulation and / or Reference service

desks on a daily basis, in a proactive and friendly manner

Communicates with library users regarding questions for information (research and

computer searches), and interpreting and explaining library policy and procedures

• Compile documentation for use of library material in-house
• Assist supervising and training student workers on circulation services
• Assist with cataloging materials ( copy cataloging)
• Input data associated with weeding, maintaining, and repairing library materials
• Arranges and gives tours of the library
• Attend meetings in place of the Director of Library Services

QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor's degree required. One to three years of work experience in a library required. Additional work experience may be substituted for college on a year-for-year basis.

Proficient in the use of various word processing programs and other office software program.
