About the OpportunityThe Library Associate Teen Services position at Mariner Library will be responsible for making presentations and programming for a teen and tween audience and performing school visits and public presentations in the community.
This position serves Voyager Middle School and Mariner High School, which are both located within a few blocks of Mariner Library.
The Mariner Library is a demonstration library located in the Mariner community, which is part of unincorporated Everett in Snohomish County.
The community of Mariner is characterized by high population density, a younger population, and a racially and linguistically diverse population.
Sno-Isle Libraries opened the Mariner Library as a temporary location in 2017. The community's positive response to the library space led to a series of conversations with local partners to reimagine what a permanent community library could be, leading to the creation of the Mariner Community Campus.

Your ability to exercise quick and mature judgment in dealing with potentially disruptive behavior and emergencies is crucial.
In addition, this Library Associate position will provide skilled paraprofessional library support services, including general reference, readers advisory and circulation services that are representative of diverse cultures and perspectives, intentionally inclusive, and accessible to everyone.
