4 billion, and an endowment in excess of $3.5 billion. Job Description The Carroll School of Management at Boston College one of the nation’s leading business schools is looking for an accomplished, energetic, and highly skilled communicator to serve as a (Senior) Content Development Specialist.

Reporting to the Associate Director, Content Development, the Specialist participates in all aspects of marketing and communications as well as editorial content at the Carroll School.

She / he is part of a three-person team that establishes the strategic directions for marketing and communications (in conjunction with the Dean of the School), and helps execute the strategy through a broad variety of means and channels.

The Specialist shares responsibilities that fall into several major areas of focus, which include : Building, compiling, designing, and project-managing electronic newsletters in HTML (using Adobe Dreamweaver), ensuring all communications adhere to current spam filter standards and ADA accessibility guidelines.

Overseeing, maintaining, and updating the Carroll School website, including front-end work developing complex new departmental and informational sites and pages, and back-end work using internal web structures to improve content accessibility.

Creating original and compelling content for e-newsletters, the Carroll School homepage, and other channels. This includes writing journalistic articles for both our print publication Carroll Capital and online-only formats;

the content is geared to a wide-ranging audience of alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff, and friends as well as business school leaders internationally.

Coordinating social media; researching, writing, and editing daily posts; creating calendars for each social channel as well as interactive campaigns for the different channels.

Developing, updating, and project-managing brochures, fact sheets, and other marketing collateral. Collecting and analyzing metrics for all digital communications, and making optimizations on the basis of these analyses.

Managing relationships with School / University partners and counterparts, including University Communications and University Advancement.

Supervising a team of student workers who perform basic web maintenance, along with administrative and journalistic tasks.

Requirements Required minimum qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or just as well a strong and successful liberal arts background.

Non-senior level : 0-5 years working in marketing and communications, or otherwise in an editorial environment.Senior level : 5 years working in marketing and communications, or otherwise in an editorial environment.

Demonstrable skills as a writer and digital communications specialist; impressive attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple, complex, and ongoing projects working independently and with a team.

Experience with content management systems and social media coordination; as well as with web management platforms, such as Adobe Experience Manager or WordPress.
