Position: Nurse Practitioner
The Nurse Practitioner provides patient care; conducts physical exams; completes health history summary; documents patient's progress; assists with patient care management with weekly patient visits focused on health, nutrition, exercise and overall wellbeing.
The environment is fast-paced and the position is multifaceted with no “on-call” requirements.
Essential Job Functions
▪ Obtains and reviews patient's medical and psychosocial history information relevant to patient care
▪ Conducts physical examinations according to Medi-Weightloss Clinics® and Cavery Health Clinic Guidelines
▪ Orders and reviews laboratory studies as well as diagnostic procedures; including EKGs. Repeat testing is to be conducted and managed according to the clinic Standard Operating Procedures and as needed and deemed necessary by the practitioner and director.
▪ Assumes responsibility for prescribing and dispensing FDA approved medications according to state and federal guidelines.
▪ Assumes responsibility for the maintenance and accuracy of medication inventory, logs, and reconciliation procedures. This responsibility is considered collaborative with the clinic director.
▪ Reviews patient's progress and manages patient care accordingly
▪ Maintains all required documentation for patient care and medication management
▪ Facilitates referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities as necessary and will communicate with collaborating physician and/ or specialist regarding patient's care
Non-essential Job Functions
▪ Provides training to clinical and non-clinical staff as needed
▪ Participates in refresher training as requested by management. Refresher training may be by means of Regional Trainings, Onsite Support by Corporate Office, Boot camps, and eLearning.
▪ Documents patient progress notes and treatment plans in the Electronic Medical Record, EMR.
▪ Conducts consultations with patients regarding the program
▪ Performs other clinical duties as required and needed to complete daily responsibilities and provide patient care
▪ Conducts follow up calls to patients to discuss the patient's progress and address any concerns
▪ Provides ongoing support to promote clinic profitability and success

▪ Ability to work with as part of the clinic team and corporate structure
