Medi-Plex Healthcare is seekinga RegisteredNurse (RN)to work within the St. Louis region. We are looking for someone with strongcommunication skills and dedication to providing quality customer service toour clients.

The RN will administerskilled nursing care to patients (in their home). This isperformed in accordance with physician orders and plan of care under thedirection and supervision of the Director of Clinical Services.

Responsibilities:

·Performsthe initial evaluation visit and regularly re-evaluates the patient’s nursingneeds.

·Initiatesthe plan of care and necessary revisions.

·Asneeded, participates in basic patient care, depending on individual patientdiagnoses, and type of care given may require addition precautions as noted.

·Prepareclinical and progress notes for each patient visit and summarize careconference of patients in a timely manner as per Agency policy.

·Coordinatesa variety of services as needed.

·Counselsthe patient and family/significant others in meeting nursing and related needs.

·Participate,train and prepare for In-service programs as assigned.

·Processorders and notifies the Physician of patient needs and changes in condition.

·Completecertification/recertification orders and discharge summaries.

·Refersto Physical Therapists, Speech Pathologist, Occupational Therapist and MedicalSocial Worker.

·Supervisesand teaches other nursing personnel.

·Conductspatient care conferences on patient assigned to his/her care.

·Abilityto be “on-call” as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

·Assistpatients as needed with walking, transfer, specimen collection, exampreparation, etc.

·CompleteEMR documentation and/or paper-based documentation

·Otherduties a assigned such as new models of care and new types of procedures, etc.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Graduate of a state approved school ofpractical(vocational) Nursing and currently licensed in the state(s) in whichpracticing. Two (2) years of experience in Nursing preferred. Ability toexercise initiative and independent judgment. No Felony record or Statedisqualification.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret commonscientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Hasthe ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers,regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Has the ability toeffectively present information to management, residents, family members, andother employees.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES,REGISTRATIONS

Currently Licensed as a RN in the State ofMissouri. No Felony record or State disqualification.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts suchas, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal witha variety of concrete variables in situations where only limitedstandardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructionsfurnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
