Leigh Orthopedic Surgery Center is offering an excellent opportunity for a Certified Nurse Aide to join the team at our state-of-the-art ASC in the Virginia Beach/Norfolk area.

Summary: The Certified Nurse Aide will be responsible for providing professional care for clinic patients under supervision of the Registered Nurse. They will assist RNs and other staff in patient care, and functions as a liaison between patients, business office and clinical staff.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Assesses patient's general condition and takes vital signs and weight. 
• Sanitize, restock, organize exam rooms, procedure room, supply room, clinical care areas.
• Maintains clinical areas, ensuring necessary supplies and materials are readily available. Ensures cleanliness. Prepares medical supplies needed for treatment. Prepares equipment and aids nurses during treatment, examination and testing of patients.
• Greets patients and prepares them for physician and nurse examination. Screens patients for appropriate information. Instructs patients in collection of samples and tests.
• Maintains/reviews patient records, scribe other pertinent information. Records tests and examination results in patient's chart.
• Responds to/refers incoming patient treatment-related phone calls.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Perform other related duties as directed or required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED)
• Certified Nurse Aide in State of Virginia
• Minimum of one-year CNA experience required
