MEDHERO Advanced Urgent Care is Hiring a Medical Office Receptionist/ Medical Assistant (weekends, 12hr shift) Near San Clemente, CA

We’re looking for someone with a great attitude and a passion for patient care. We are looking for someone with a flexible schedule to work primarily at our location in San Clemente.

Job Responsibilities: Have comfort in seeing multiple patients a day, opening & closing office duties. Answering calls and creating patient charts, schedule imaging services, verifying insurance, and collecting co-pays/other fees. Assist with back office duties.

Must be able to work 12hr shifts and weekends.

1-year medical front office experience and previous experience with EMR preferred but not required.

Duties:

  • Maintaining and organizing front office area
  • Protect patients’ rights by maintaining the confidentiality of personal, financial, and health information
  • Checking patients in and out
  • Verifying insurance
  • Receiving payments from patients for services rendered
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Assist Providers as necessary
  • Answering/fielding patient phone calls in a courteous and professional manner
  • Oversee and ensure the efficient turnover of patient rooms
  • Providing general patient care services, including taking vital information, specimen collections, intake registration forms, and conversing with patients to complete records
  • All other duties as assigned

*Education and/or Certificates:

  • CPR Certificate (current)
  • Knowledge of HIPPA

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
