Job Summary

We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Stretcher Drivers. As an NEMT Stretcher Driver, you will be responsible for transporting patients who require stretcher-level care to and from medical appointments, dialysis treatments, rehabilitation sessions, and other essential destinations. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to provide exceptional customer service. No experience is needed. All training will be provided paid on the job.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a specialized medical transport vehicle equipped with a stretcher, ensuring the safe and comfortable transportation of patients.
• Assist patients with boarding, securing, and disembarking from the stretcher, maintaining their dignity and comfort throughout the journey.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies and procedures to ensure the safety of passengers and yourself at all times.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its cleanliness, safety, and proper functioning.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, healthcare providers, and patients to coordinate pickup and drop-off times and locations.
• Provide exceptional customer service by being courteous, compassionate, and accommodating to patients' needs and preferences.
• Keep accurate records of mileage, trips, and patient information for billing and reporting purposes.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience working as a driver, preferably in a healthcare or transportation setting but not required.
• Ability to operate a stretcher and safely secure patients during transport with training provided.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor, especially when working with individuals who may be frail or in need of medical assistance.
• Ability to work well with others. This position will be part of a 2 person team.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, based on the needs of the business. Scheduling will be discussed during the interview process.
• CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
• Ability to lift heavy objects as required
