*Job Description*
We are a 24 bed PCU unit. We have Neuro/Trauma and Post-Surgical patients- some of which come right out of PACU and others who are sent to us from ICU after being stabilized.
We take specialized patients which include but are not limited to; Lumbar drains, EVDs, EMU- seizure monitoring, Depth Electrode- seizure monitoring, ENT post- surgical patients with flaps and new trachs, post stroke, newly paralysis. We do not require anyone to be trained on these specialized areas, but we do encourage and offer that training to those who will work with us on 5S. NIHSS is not a requirement but it does help. We also train our team members for charge role responsibilities.
*Minimum Qualifications:*
Requires an Associate's of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
Generalized Progressive Care experience for B4 and 5S.
Generalized Medical Surgical care experience for 3N.
