MEDA Engineering and Technical Services, LLC is Hiring a Surveyor Near Detroit, MI
On behalf of our civil infrastructure client, working on a large multinational project, we are currently recruiting for a Construction Party Chief Surveyor to join their team.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Conduct physical site surveys using a variety of equipment and tools
- Prepare reports, drawings, and perform electronic data collection
- Coordinate field staff and process field data
- Interface with Surveyors and Civil Engineers
- Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations of as-built documents
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS :
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Bridge Construction or Heavy Civil Construction
- Familiarity with electronic total stations, digital levels, and field data collection equipment
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Excel, Microsoft Word, Adobe, and other ancillary Survey Software
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Effective written and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of Survey and Construction teams
- Ability to work at heights
- 2 year degree in Surveying or Civil Engineering or certifications as Field Survey Technician
- Valid driver's license is required as well as a clean driving record
