PATIENT CARE ASSISTANT 2D MEDICAL ONCOLOGY

2D is a 32 bed medical oncology unit that also sees Breakthrough Program and occasional telemetry patients. It is a busy unit and a great place for new grad nurses to build and solidify their skills. Friendly, upbeat staff provide excellent patient care while focusing on teamwork to help the unit run smoothly. No call or rotating shifts.

HOURS: 

POSITION SUMMARY:
A caregiver that is responsible for providing or assisting with patients' care, transporting, maintaining a safe and clean environment, monitoring equipment function and responsible for documenting on appropriate forms. The Patient Care Assistant must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to age groups according to specific chronological age, developmental age and/or psycho-social maturity.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
High school diploma or GED required.

Required length of experience:
Six (6) months of prior healthcare experience preferred.
STNA preferred but not required.

Required licensure, certification, and/or registry:
BLS required, may obtain within 90 days of hire.
