We are seeking an accountant for a local nonprofit supporting individuals working through mental health and substance use concerns. Help keep this important mission up and running by joining our client's financial team!

The day-to-day of this position will include:

• running biweekly payroll
• posting journal entries
• general ledger reconciliations
• reporting and data analysis, including of workers' compensation, insurance, close procedures, and grants
• supporting audits
• updating financial policies
• other duties as assigned

This temp-to-hire opportunity is located onsite in Newark, NY.

Days/Hours: Monday thru Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM

Salary: $60,000 - $68,000 annually. Benefits include health insurance, PTO, retirement plan, and opportunities for paid professional development!

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required
• 3 years of relevant industry experience required
• Strong Excel skills required
