Med One Sleep Center is Hiring an Insurance Billing Specialist Near Fayetteville, NC

Responsibilities:

- Review and analyze medical records to ensure accurate and timely billing
- Assign appropriate DRG codes based on the diagnosis and procedures documented in the medical records
- Ensure compliance with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding guidelines
- Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for billing
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies or government agencies
- Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve any billing discrepancies or denials
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain missing documentation or clarification on coding issues
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Billing Specialist or similar role in the healthcare industry
- In-depth knowledge of medical billing, coding, and reimbursement processes
- Proficiency in using DRG, ICD-9, and ICD-10 coding systems
- Familiarity with insurance guidelines and claim submission requirements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing practices
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High level of professionalism and ethical conduct

Note: Certification in medical billing and coding is preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
