Job Summary:
We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our law enforcement team as Police Officers. As a Police Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining public safety, enforcing laws, and protecting citizens within our community.
Responsibilities:
- Patrol assigned areas to maintain public safety and order
- Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance as needed
- Conduct criminal investigations and gather evidence
- Enforce traffic laws and regulations
- Arrest suspects and perpetrators of criminal acts
- Prepare detailed reports documenting incidents and actions taken
- Provide support and assistance to crime victims
- Engage with the community to build positive relationships and trust
To be eligible for the employment, an applicant must meet the following minimum requirements and qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen
- High school graduate or GED
- OPOTA Certification
- Valid driver’s license
To be considered for employment, the applicant must meet the above minimum requirements and qualifications, and must successfully complete all of the following:
- Written Test
- Background Investigation (that may include criminal history, driving record, education, prior employment, credit report, etc.)
Skills:
- Proficiency in CPR techniques
- Knowledge of criminal investigation procedures
- Ability to work in a militarized environment
- Strong leadership skills to guide team members effectively
- Excellent conflict management abilities to handle challenging situations calmly
- Valid driver's license for patrol duties
- Familiarity with animal care practices for handling animal-related incidents
- Proficiency in surveillance techniques for monitoring suspicious activities
- Possession of relevant certificates or training in law enforcement
- Skill in safe and effective animal handling during various situations
Starting Pay:
- During Probation (6 months) - $19.50 per hour
- Post Probation - $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
This position will work is a rotating 12-hour shift from 7pm-7am with every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off with 4 hours of Overtime each pay period.
