Our global Client’s ambition is to be a net zero company by 2050 or sooner and to help the world get to net zero. To support their ambition, and to meet its published net zero targets, significant investment in sources of renewable energy is required. This Renewable Project presents unique challenges in re-purposing an existing facility as an integrated energy hub for the production of renewable fuels like Sustainable Aviation Fuel and Renewable Diesel.

As part of the project team, based in our Perth office you will be managing a complex project deliverable register.

What you’ll do

We’re looking for a Project Engineer Mechanical/Piping to join our Perth team

The role responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a HSE focus in the team to ensure OHSE requirements are included in design and procurement.
  • Establish, maintain and build healthy client relationships and resolve project issues with the client as they arise.
  • Ensure compliance with WPMP, with the requirements of the contract and apply effective change control process.
  • Monitor cost aspects of the project within direct control and forecast final costs, identify trends and take action to avoid cost overruns.
  • Effective and clear communication with design team and third parties and accurate and effective reporting to the project manager.
  • Set clear objectives to the design team and manage inter-discipline interfaces effectively.
  • Assist where required with the procurement process throughout the project to ensure goods meet specification, are delivered on time and within budget.

What you’ll have

  • A recognised mechanical engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status is preferred.
  • Previous technical, practical and leadership experience in the mechanical / piping discipline and proven experience in managing a discipline design group.
  • You will be an enthusiastic team player, with excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working for an engineering company is beneficial.
