Given our recent growth in the Phoenix market, Meats by Linz, Inc., a family-owned meat purveyor out of Chicago,is looking to add another Route Driver to our Phoenix team!

Job Description:

This is a physical, fast-paced, outdoor position that involves continual lifting, lowering and carrying packages that typically weigh 25 - 35 lbs. and may weigh up to 100 lbs.

Full-time Drivers work eight or more hours per day, 5 days a week. Workdays can vary depending on the company needs.

Drivers are required to maintain clear and constant communication with Corporate throughout their shift to report updates, incidents, clarifications, or any other information that needs to be shared.

Obey traffic laws and follow organization’s transportation procedures.

Ensure packages are delivered timely and accurately.

Operate vehicle and optimize the delivery route considering priorities and traffic patterns. Operate and drive for pick-up and delivery of various goods in a polite, resourceful, professional, safe and secure manner.

Provide excellent customer service while delivering over established routes. Inspect and maintain vehicle and equipment to ensure that they are in proper working condition.

They are expected to deliver the product and handle any issues with the customer to the best of their ability and relay any unresolved issues to their supervisor or to Sales. Get customer signatures and hand in signed copies of the customer invoices.

Be presentable and civil at all times to maintain intact the good image of the company.

Applicants must have a valid license, a clear driving driving record, and are eligible to work in the United States.

Must pass a pre-placement physical exam and a supervised road test.

Sit and drive for up to 10 hours, and climb in and out of truck cab throughout shift.

Must be capable of carrying and stocking a variety of products including boxes that are approximately 50 lbs. and be capable of lifting at least 75 lbs.

Experience in a fast-paced environment.

Previous customer service and/or delivery experience is preferred.

Must have excellent customer service, communication and driving skills.

Drivers are expected to comply with MBL appearance guidelines and wear the company-provided uniform.

Must be flexible, adaptable and willing to handle a variety of responsibilities.

Must be reliable and dependable.

Must have a consistently positive attitude and be able to work well with customers and other employees.
