Meati Foods is Hiring a Manager Materials Sourcing and Inventory Management Near Boulder, CO

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manager of Materials Sourcing and Inventory Management to lead our sourcing strategy, supplier relationships, and inventory optimization efforts for raw materials essential to our manufacturing processes. As a key leader in our supply chain team, you will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, optimizing costs, and implementing inventory management best practices to support our production goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies for raw materials, considering factors such as cost, quality, lead times and supplier capabilities.
  • Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
  • Cost Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities through negotiation, alternative sourcing, value engineering, and process improvements while maintaining quality standards.
  • Inventory Management: Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize carrying costs, and ensure the availability of materials to support production schedules.
  • Demand Planning: Collaborate with demand planning and forecasting teams to accurately forecast material requirements and align sourcing and inventory strategies accordingly.
  • Risk Management: Proactively assess and mitigate risks in the supply chain, including supplier disruptions, inventory shortages, and market fluctuations, to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes affecting raw material sourcing and inventory management and use this information to inform sourcing and inventory decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including manufacturing, quality assurance, logistics, and finance teams, to align sourcing and inventory activities with business objectives and production schedules.
  • Supplier Diversity and Sustainability: Champion initiatives to promote supplier diversity and sustainability practices, ensuring alignment with corporate values and objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to foster their growth and success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a focus on materials sourcing and inventory management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of successful supplier management, contract negotiation, cost optimization, and inventory management initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights related to sourcing and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers across different levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve common goals.
  • Proficiency in sourcing and procurement software tools and inventory management systems.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements related to materials sourcing, inventory management, environmental regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this role Is $100,000 - $124,000, which is just one aspect of our total compensation package. In addition to the salary, this position is eligible for a potential annual bonus and equity! Actual compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
