Incumbent will be responsible for assisting donors, agency and pantry representatives and
volunteers with warehouse and office activities.
1. Assist new volunteers and community service workers with sign in/out procedures and work assignments.
2. Guide volunteers and community service individuals on how to sort food for storage and/or pack food for food distributions.
3. Greet and assist agencies with the food selection process during their appointed times; write up invoices and assist in loading agency vehicles.
4. Answer phones/take messages/schedule picks-ups. Escalate important calls and/or issues to Supervisor.
5. Greet donors that are dropping off donations, weigh, and record internally and write up donation slip for donor.
6. Record food pallet information for monthly inventory; add to inventory spreadsheets and/ or iPad.
7. General office duties including invoicing and processing credit cards.
8. Report any needed equipment repairs to the Food Bank General Manager once identified by warehouse staff.
9. Assist with coordinating store pickups or barrel deliveries.
10. Assist with all Food Bank food drives and events.
11. Act as a fill-in/back-up driver for need pick-ups or deliveries including Saturday morning rotation.
12. May perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. 2 years office experience preferred.
3. Customer facing experience.
4. Valid Driver’s License and good driving record.
1. Excellent customer service; positive, and can-do attitude.
2. Maintain good working relationships with agencies and staff members.
3. Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time.
4. Must be able to lift 25 - 50lbs by oneself or 100lbs with assistance.
5. Must maintain and keep an active Food Sanitation Certification.
6. Must be able to communicate orally and in writing.
7. Must be able to work in an environment with possible exposure to high temperatures or extremely cold temperatures.
8. Must wear proper safety equipment and dress.
9. Proficient in Microsoft office software for data entry.
10. Ability to use hands and voice to use equipment within the Food Bank.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
