About The PositionThe Dental Hygienist with Meadville Medical Center will work with our Public Health services to provide preventative dental services within our centers. You will provide clinical services in addition to delivering individualized oral health care education and home care. The registered Dental Hygienist will also be responsible for providing appropriate oral health information to individuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patient's overall oral health by examining oral cavity for signs of periodontal disease, oral lesions, or possible cancers
- Perform dental hygiene and procedures within scope of practice
- Educate patients in oral hygiene including proper tooth brushing, flossing, nutrition, and need for professional care
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current Registered Dental Hygienist
- Pennsylvania State licensure
- Current or eligible for Public Health Dental Practitioner license
- State Radiology Certificate
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider card
