Kennel Technician Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide compassionate care for pets
- Clean cages, runs and boarding area
- Exercise hospitalized / boarded dogs as needed
- Feed and provide fresh water and bedding to hospitalized / boarded pets as needed
- Monitor record and report physical signs of hospitalized / boarded pets
- Bathe pets, clean ears and trim nails
- Do laundry
- Wash and sanitize pet dishes
- Perform other duties as assigned
Kennel Technician Qualifications and Skills:
- MUST love working with animals.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 lbs.
- Must be comfortable with moderately high noise level.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
- Must be a reliable team player with a positive attitude, enthusiastic and must have a great work ethic.
- Must maintain a clean and healthy environment for clients.
- Enjoys working closely with other team members
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Must read, write and speak fluent English
- Enjoy working hard; is action orientated and full of energy for the things he/she sees as challenging
- Team player that is cooperative
