Meadow Creek Post-Acute is Hiring a Director of Staff Development Near Paramount, CA

Affinity Healthcare Center is currently looking for a passionate Director of Staff Development to work in healthcare facilities and work out 98 bed sub-acute facility. You are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, evaluate, and coordinate educational and on-the-job training programs.
  • Produced instruction material and training aids into existing in-service programs as deemed necessary.
  • Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the administrator concerning in-service training programs.
  • Assist in standardizing the methods in which work will be accomplished.
  • Assist the Quality Assessment and Assurance Coordinator in developing and implementing a quality assurance program for in-service training.
  • Assist licensed nursing personnel (i.e., RNs, LVNs and CNAs) in obtaining in-service training to keep their license current in accordance with state law.
  • Assist in the development of the in-service training budget.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information to assure resident rights are protected, including the right of refusal.
  • Moves intermittently during working hours.
  • May work flexible hours.
  • Communicates with department supervisors to determine departmental training needs

Salary: $44.00 - $48.00/hour

Qualification:

  • Must have possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Must have a DSD Certification.
  • Must have 5 years of experience as a DSD
  • Must have an active license and practice as a Nurse in the current state
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
  • Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
  • Must function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies.
