As a Hardware Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and driving sales in our hardware department. This role requires a strong knowledge of hardware products and the ability to build relationships with customers to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Greet customers and assist them in finding the right products for their needs
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering product recommendations and demonstrating product features
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of all hardware products and their uses
- Keep shelves and displays fully stocked and organized
- Operate cash register and handle financial transactions accurately
- Proactively engage with customers to generate sales and meet sales targets
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Collaborate with team members to achieve department and company goals
- Stay updated on industry trends and new products
- Construction experience or Construction sales experience preferred.
- Must maintain a valid drivers license.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
- Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions
- Friendly outgoing personality
- Able to lift 50lbs
- Self motivated and punctual
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Problem solving and multi-tasking skills
