JOB SUMMARY

The DOT Compliance Coordinator will assist the Safety department and Fleet Department to ensure a compliant workforce and assist with the enhancement of the Fleet safety programs that will be implemented for the success of International Line Builders.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • A working knowledge of business administration at a level normally acquired through completion of an associate degree in business administration or related field or two years equivalent work experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in the construction industry.
  • Three years' experience with DOT regulation and FMCSA regulation as it relates to driver qualification and related compliance issues.
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong skills in Excel, Word, Outlook, and related computer software
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, set goals, and accomplish responsibilities with limited supervision.
  • Dependable and self-motivated.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) compliance via training, data management, analysis, and reporting.
  • Coordinate and ensure compliance with Driver Qualification (DQ) Files, Motor Vehicle Reports (MVR) process, DOT Drug and Alcohol (D&A) Testing Program management, and Carrier Safety Administration (CSA) reporting and follow-up.
  • Interface with International Line Builders third-party DOT vendor in the completion of DQ Files, MVR review process, DOT D&A Testing Program, and CSA Reporting.
  • Review and support internal and external audits and follow-up of corrective actions.
  • Development and provide training, safety alerts and safety articles for fleet drivers and supervisors.
  • Assist with the coordination of new fleet operations for training and system set-up.
  • Assists HR department in obtaining supporting documents for new Driver qualification files.
  • Coordinate and manage fleet telematics to include procurement, implementation, maintenance, training, and dashboard setup.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of fleet safety compliance programs, including the DOT vehicle maintenance and inspection programs.
  • Sets up Driver Qualification (DQ) files and maintains qualification files for drivers including medical cards and MVR records.
  • Review, analyze and report on current DOT and fleet safety program status and assist in the development of improvement initiatives to improve safety and reduce risk.
  • Analyze safety trends. Recommend and carry out improvement initiatives based on this data.
  • Additional duties as assigned
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • $50,000 - $80,000 DOE
