Cable and Harness Assembler
Reports to Production Manager
Assemble cables and harnesses end-to-end to meet specifications using standard engineering/customer design documentation, procedures, and assembly drawings (prints).
Responsibilities
•Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures to build customer products from drawings, schematics, or photos.
•Make precision measurements to ensure proper fit of components.
•Check output and perform tests to ensure the highest quality.
•Maintain equipment in good condition.
•Report on issues, malfunctions, or defective parts.
•Maintain company quality expectations.
•Keep records of production quantities and time.
•Maintain company labor expectations and efficiencies (Assembly build-times).
•Maintain a clean organized workspace and facility.
•Provide and/or maintain any reports required.
•Any other task requested from management.
Requirements
•Two or more years proven experience as cable assembler.
•Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings etc.
•Ability to use hand tools comfortably and properly (e.g. micrometer, hand crimper, solder, stripper, etc.)
•Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition.
•Good understanding of quality control principles.
•Able to lift-up to 50 lbs.
•Good and respectful communication skills (verbal and written).
•Available to work overtime from time to time with proper notice.
