Are you ready to support the future of paid media strategies and innovation at the leading agency in the country focused on B2B trade shows and conferences? We are seeking a visionary and dynamic team member to drive growth and success for the agency through paid media initiatives.

We’re now seeking a senior director of paid media to join our collaborative marketing team.

Summary

Your mission will encompass a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including collaborating closely with account teams to scope paid media campaigns as well as leading plan development, launching and executing campaigns and delivering insightful reports with actionable recommendations. You will be instrumental in developing and guiding paid media, which encompasses display advertising, paid search and paid social media campaigns as well as DOOH.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Client Engagement: Provide strategic oversight on accounts, actively engaging in the work to maintain a strong understanding of client needs and industry trends. Cultivate and maintain client relationships, taking ownership of client satisfaction and serving as the strategic point of contact for assigned clients.
  • Oversee Campaign Health and Performance: Ensure the overall health and performance of paid media campaigns within a designated portfolio, securing client satisfaction and successful outcomes
  • Innovation and Experimentation: Foster a culture of innovation within the paid media team, encouraging the exploration of new advertising platforms, formats, and creative approaches.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Partnering with account team leaders, manage, mentor, and train the paid media team in a cross-functional team structure, fostering their professional growth and ensuring high-quality client outcomes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams throughout the agency to identify integration, workflow and product enhancements. Create and facilitate paid media training, as appropriate, for colleagues throughout the agency.
  • Effective Resource Allocation: In collaboration with account team leads, forecast and plan for future hiring needs in alignment with current and projected revenue.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement streamlined processes and efficiencies as necessary to optimize paid media productivity and effectiveness, creating best-practice Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for digital marketing campaign delivery, reporting and optimization.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of experience in a strategic digital marketing role is required.
  • Demonstrates entrepreneurial spirit, independent drive and a strong vision to lead and grow Paid Media department.
  • Drive to become a leader, mentor and colleague in which the team enjoys collaborating with. 
  • Ability to think strategically and lead client marketing efforts with creativity and expertise is required.
  • A working knowledge of CRM, email marketing is strongly preferred.
  • Certifications such as Google AdWords Fundamentals Certification, Google Analytics/Search/Display, Microsoft Adcenter, or Facebook are strongly preferred.
  • Experience with third party media buying platforms such as Adroll, Feathr, Doubleclick preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role is preferred.
  • Agency, event, or association marketing experience is preferred.
