Employment Type: Part time Shift: 12 Hour Day Shift Description: Job Description Position Highlights: Competitive salary Benefits – Medical, Dental & Vision, PTO, Free Parking, Metro Access, Tuition Reimbursement, 403(b) Quality of Life: Flexible work schedules Advancement: Career growth opportunities Location: Holy Cross Health has two hospitals and four healthcare centers all a short driving distance from Washington DC and Baltimore, MD Description: Monitors, records and reports heart rhythm, seizure and fall risk activity for patients with orders for telemetry, Electronic Monitoring Unit and AvaSys Telesitter monitoring. Ensures equipment in working order in conjunction with Clinical Engineering and IT Departments. Responsibilities Monitors heart rhythm patterns of patients in special care unit of hospital, to detect abnormal pattern variances, using telemetry equipment. Reviews patient information, to determine normal heart rhythm pattern, current pattern and prior variances. Observes screen of cardiac monitor and listens for alarm, to identify abnormal variations in heart rhythm. Informs nurse of variances, to initiate examination of patient. Measures length and height of patient heart rhythm pattern on graphic tape readout, using calipers, and posts information on patient record. Provides accurate and timely interpretation and dissemination of information to critical care staff members and other members of health care team, related to patient cardiac rhythms as per cardiac monitoring. Promotes and supports all standards of quality and customer service. Promotes continuous quality improvement in operations and job performance. Supports Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross What you will need: High school diploma or equivalent. Six months experience performing rhythm strip interpretation. Ability to communicate and work with medical professionals. Any equivalent combination of education and work experience required to provide comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities.
