McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Certified Crane Operator to operate a Crawler Crane (80T) for a project in Thornton, TX. The right candidate will be willing to perform other related duties outside the cab in addition to operating the crane. We are a drug-free workplace, and you must consent to drug test and background check. This project is expected to continue through the end of June 2024. The company expects additional long-term work opportunities in the Pacific Northwest and Western regions.

Certified Crane Operator: The Operator's function is to be able to safely operate our Crawler Crane (80T). The operator must have good operational skills to be able to produce high volume quality work in a safety-conscious work environment. The operator must be able to effectively communicate with boat captains, foremen and laborers to produce quality work in high volume, time-sensitive conditions. The operator must be willing to perform other related duties in addition to operating the crane outside of the cab.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, climb, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move from 75 to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
  • Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stopping, and handling of materials.
  • Repetitive use of hands and wrists using power, rotational, and vibration tools.

Direction Received:

  • Functions with regular supervision from managers/supervisors.
  • Applies common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Must be willing to get out of equipment and assist with laborer duties as needed.

Required Experience, Education, Licenses and/or Certifications:

  • Certified crane operator.
  • Crawler crane experience required.
  • Pass a drug test and background check.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.

Pay Range: DOE
