Primary Duties


McLaren Flint
is seeking a Program Director to spearhead a developing 24 resident training program in Emergency Medicine. Program located in Flint, MI. A successful program director will be responsible for the new program development and accreditation activities as prescribed by the ACGME. In addition, the program director will lead the programs recruitment and mentorship of core faculty and residents, along with curriculum development, program policies and evaluation. Candidates should be willing to combine administrative and diagnostic time (50/50) to support the clinical learning environment. Qualified candidates will be board certified in emergency medicine, have at least 3 years' experience as a faculty member, have recent works of scholarly activity (last 5 years) as defined by the ACGME and eligible for state licensure in Michigan.

FACILITY HIGHLIGHTS
McLaren Flint is a 378-bed tertiary teaching facility located in Flint, Michigan, serving the medical needs of residents in greater Genesee County and Mideast Michigan. McLaren Flint is affiliated with Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in its medical residency programs including family practice, internal medicine, general surgery, and orthopedic surgery. McLaren Flint also maintains fellowship programs in clinical health psychology, vascular surgery, minimally invasive surgery, and cardiology in partnership with MSU. The hospital is certified as a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence, a Gold Plus Comprehensive Stroke Center (Joint Commission), and a BCBSM Blue Distinction Center for Spine Surgery, Cardiac Care and OB services. Cancer accreditations include the American College of Radiology Radiation Oncology Practice Accreditation and the Quality Oncology Practice Initiative, American Society of Clinical Oncology.
