Collaborates closely with the Cerner integration architect and McLaren departmental/functional team leaders to ensure project design and implementation activities comply with overall architecture plan and global information systems strategy. This includes designing, building and testing the transfer of data between systems and devices. Also, functions as Client’s change control leader during implementation and after activation.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Assists in developing the preliminary system architecture plan and implementation strategy.
2. Drives testing and change control activities and processes throughout the implementation and post go live.
3. Assists in the development, monitoring, and management implementation work plans.
4. Coordinates unit, system, integration and history upload testing events with all project teams, track testing completion, and escalate issues to the project manager as needed.
5. Reports technology/global progress to project manager for project status reporting.
6. Assists project manager in managing quality assurance and risk issues.
7. Assists teams in the planning and coordination of integration testing and go-live.
Qualifications:Required:
1. Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare field or information technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (Equivalency is Associate degree plus 5 years of experience working in either healthcare or as an IT analyst)
2. Five years (10 years without bachelor’s degree) information systems support experience.
3. Five years (10 years without bachelor’s degree) healthcare IT.
4. Five years of Cerner Integration Architect experience.
Preferred:
1. Certification in a primary Cerner solution.
