McLaren Health Care is Hiring an Electronic Medical Record Clinical Systems Analyst Senior Near Michigan, MI

**Remote** - Provides integrated applications for the assigned department and will work closely with Cerner and vendor staff in implementing, maintaining, and upgrading systems used by clinicians across McLaren subsidiaries. Also, will identify and help resolve deficiencies and production issues alongside business and technical (IT) teams. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for documenting clinical and business processes/procedures and making recommendations for upgrades/improvements.
  2. Responsible for the on-going maintenance, testing, development of workflows, workflow analysis, technical build/configuration, change documentation, and application deployment/support of EMR systems.
  3. Leads site pre-assessment visits for subsidiaries and sites transitioning to EMR, to ensure overall readiness. Also, serves as a primary resource and support for departmental solutions during subsidiary and site activations.
  4. Configures EHR and related systems, including user security, parameter settings, and business rules. Responsible for solution build within the EMR for any new hospital, service line, acute, and ambulatory venues (as applicable).
  5. Manages small projects. Document issues, action items, user requirements, or deliverables from project meetings.
  6. Works with physicians, nurses, clinicians, CIS team, and architects to determine feasibility of new technologies and systems related to adoption of technology.
  7. Creates technical documentation detailing configurations, application environments, problem solutions, and knowledge-based articles.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare field, or information technology

OR

    • Associate degree plus 5 years of experience working in either healthcare or as an IT analyst.

OR

    • High school diploma plus 10 years of experience working in either healthcare or as an IT analyst
  • Cerner Experience:
    • Five years information systems support experience in one of the following:
      • Cerner ED (Emergency Department)
      • Clinical Cerner solutions
      • Cerner Perioperative solutions
      • Cerner Pharmacy (PharmNet)

OR

    • Seven years of experience in build and configuration in Healthcare/Clinical IT (including, but not limited to Paragon, Allscripts, Epic or Meditech)
    • One year Cerner build and configuration experience.
  • Ability to travel to offices in all McLaren Regions. Travel will be kept to a minimum unless additional resources are needed.

Preferred:

  • Certifications in primary Cerner solution area or Project Management Professional (PMP) or Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS)
