McLaren Health Care is Hiring a Coordinator Hospice Service Near Port Huron, MI
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
- Assists with staff scheduling, productivity recording, and telephone duties, i.e., taking messages and contacting staff.
- Coordinates the admission process for all Hospice and Home Care Palliative clients.
- Participates in data collection, compilation, computer input and generation of reporting.
- Analyzes admission and re-certification paperwork for accuracy.
- Reviews plans of care for clinical appropriateness, completeness and medical necessity.
- With assistance, utilizes ICD-9-CM coding system; assigns appropriate diagnostic and surgical procedure codes; acts as resource person for agency staff.
- Associate degree in Health Information Mgmt, related field, or equivalent experience.
- One year general office experience.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Hospice, Home Care, or Hospital Medical Records experience.
- Status of RHIT or eligibility for.
- ICD-9-CM coding experience.
