Salary Range: $106,000-$118,500

POSITION TITLESenior Engineer/Project Manager - Site/Civil Division

OVERVIEWThe Senior Engineer/Project Manager independently applies extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. The Senior Engineer/Project Manager is responsible for the management of several projects with complex features and the application of advanced techniques to complete assignments. This includes management of the client, design team, budgets, and project schedules beginning with the proposal phase and extending through the completion of construction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops and approves scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
• Prepares proposals to provide professional services for engineering projects or programs; reviews complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
• Understands all required project deliverables and permitting requirements for the project; informs ownership and design team members at outset of the project to ensure all deliverables are provided on time and on budget.

• Leads coordination with New York City agencies – NYCDEP: Site Connection, SWPPP, Cross Connection, etc., NYCT/MTA, NYCDOT, NYCDOB, FDNY – to obtain relevant permit approvals
• Functions as technical advisor on public and private site/civil projects including: parks/open space projects, utilities replacements, stormwater management, sidewalk replacements, etc.
• Ability to coordinate between multiple disciplines (ie. Marine, Structural, Geotechnical, Survey, etc) to achieve project goals.
• Supervises all assisting staff necessary to complete assignments including providing support and mentorship to junior staff throughout project design.
• Assists senior management with tasks related to project financials (invoicing, AP, project budgets, etc)
• Develops new techniques and/or improved processes, materials, or products.
• Consistently monitors and achieves project financial goals.
• Maintaining client relationships, serving as the point of contact for their projects, and developing opportunities for further work.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited curriculum; Master’s degree a plus.
• Professional Engineer (PE) Registration
• PMP Certification a plus
• Experience with permitting regulations in New York City as listed above
• Minimum of seven years experience
• Minimum of two years managing projects
• Excellent attention to detail and technical written and verbal communication skills; public speaking and presentation experience preferred.
• Able to thrive in a team-focused environment and engage in creative, critical thought; takes initiative and can function at a high level on multi-disciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil3D, HydroCAD
