Job Description

McLane Global is looking for a Warehouse Lead to plan, oversee, and participate in the warehouse operations and activities. The lead will be responsible for setting the standards for others, providing work direction to assigned personnel, coach and train employees.

Role Responsibilities

• Follows all safety procedures in performing work as well as company policies
• Communicating with other departments or managers to ensure that orders are fulfilled according to schedule
• Working with customer parameters to build and prepare loads for shipment to various destinations
• Coordinate load/unload of product and proper staging for effective space utilization
• Oversee team in the sortation of products and preparing pallets for shipment including proper labeling and finished product staging
• Track and report productivity for team members by function to management
• Drive process improvement activities in the function area
• Ensuring that all warehouse equipment is working properly and that safety procedures are followed
• Performing physical labor such as lifting boxes, moving inventory to storage areas, or cleaning workspaces

• Requires the ability to safely operate a forklift or pallet jack as needed
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
• Requires the ability to effectively use a variety of computer programs
• Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50 pounds
• Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust and fumes
