We are currently seeking a Superintendentto join our team as a member of our growing Energy division. If you thrive in a collaborative team environment, enjoy being on construction sites, and have a passion for safety, as well as setting and hitting goals - this may be the right position for you.

Project Management

In this position, you are the face of McKinstry on the project site. You will be tasked with developing project schedules, coordinating subcontractors and vendors, and writing/reviewing scopes of work. You will develop RFIs as required to document changes to the scope of work and hold meetings for proper project execution.

Communication 

As a Superintendent, you will oversee field personnel who may include union and non-union workers. Additionally, you will act as a conduit of communication regarding progress and logistics between clients and subcontractors. 

Safety 

You will uphold and communicate McKinstry safety standards. You will coordinate with the safety team to create and communicate the site safety plan.

What we would like to see from you: 

  • Expertise leveraging knowledge of building automation controls systems.
  • OSHA 30 certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of assuming the position.
  • Working knowledge of scheduling software: Microsoft Project, Primavera, and/or Suretrak required.
  • Knowledge of construction management, commercial building process, and OSHA standards required.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
  • Five (5) years of leadership of trades and job sites preferred.
  • BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture or Facilities Management or equivalent work experience preferred.
