Program Overview

The Mternship program is a 10 week full-time summer internship program designed to provide students a hands-on experience to prepare for careers in advertising and marketing, design firms, brands or other companies in the communications field. Mterns will have the opportunity to work on significant educational projects that can include, but are not limited to, the concept and creation of package designs, digital campaigns, brochures, print ads, TV commercials, websites, experiential design and any other medium used to market a product, service or brand. The goal is for students to leave with projects for their portfolio and/or an understanding of how a creative agency works.

INTERNSHIP JOB DESCRIPTION

• Annotate and code information for use in AI
• Assist in AI creative data processes
• Assist in developing internal communications processes around AI

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

• Must be graduating between December 2024 - May 2026
• Majoring in computer science, quantitative program or industry related field
• Mac and PC support (90/10), cloud software support (Google Workspace, Microsoft, etc), Adobe Creative application support
• Required: excellent logic and reasoning 
• Required: ability to explain complex topics to non-technical audiences
• Familiar with Python, Javascript, SQL (or variant)
• Familiar with Jupyter Notebooks, Huggingface, Gradio
• Nice to have: familiar with SDXL and other open source AI models

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with the AI Innovation team to support ongoing projects
• Write and review Python & SQL
• Leverage source control for all programming work
• Document your development work
• Analyze and interpret large datasets
• Annotate data for training models
• Participate in Mtern team project

NOTE: This is a hybrid internship, not fully remote. Interns must be able to work out of an office location at least three days a week. Relocation stipend not included in internship offer. We are in the office Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday on a hybrid schedule.
