McKinley Paper’s Wisconsin Mill is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its team in Combined Locks Wisconsin. 

The Wisconsin Mill is part of McKinley Paper, a division of Bio Pappel. Bio Pappel is a privately held paper and packaging manufacturer headquartered in Mexico City. The Wisconsin Mill, which is McKinley’s largest paper mill, produces high quality recycled containerboard, natural kraft packaging, bag, and other types of paper. The Accounts Receivable Specialist’s primary duties and responsibilities include: 

Accounts Receivable

· Process invoices daily for prior day shipments.

· Apply daily all cash received from customers and various cash application functions.

· Resolve unapplied cash items and/or discrepancies.

· Process manual invoices and credit memos as needed.

· Review with the Mill Controller any customer refunds and write-offs.

· Reconcile A/R monthly and calculate, prepare, post A/R allowance reserve.

Credit/Collections

· Establish, maintain, and update credit files for customers, including setting up new customer files in the ERP system and perform customer maintenance as needed.

· Respond promptly to customers’ questions.

· Communicate with other departments relative to discussions with customers.

· Monitor account aging and make appropriate customer contacts for collection.

· Prepare monthly Aged Receivables report.

· Maintain detailed, accurate records on all collection activities and contacts.

· Respond promptly to credit check requests.

General

· Update daily cash balances and transactions from bank in cash reconciliation/tracking file.

· Prepare A/R cash receipts forecasts monthly or as needed.

· Prepare credit applications for new suppliers.

· Prepare and process quarterly Sales & Use Tax returns.

· Maintain up to date procedures and documentation.

· Prepare general journal entries for month-end closing process.

· Support general accounting and treasury efforts across the discipline as appropriate.

Perform other duties as assigned. 

What you need to be successful:

· Minimum of an associate degree in accounting or closely related field from an accredited, recognized university or college (Bachelors degree preferred) with 1-4 years of related experience preferred. 

· Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical, and critical thinking skills.

· Excellent customer service and communication skills, written and verbal.

· Proficient in MS Word and Excel.

· SAP or other ERP system experience preferred.

· Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.

· Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.

· Must be a team player who also works well independently.

· Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting or standing while working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
