The Position: We are looking for a IEP Coordinator, who is willing to embrace McKinley’s mission and H.U.M.A.N values. The IEP Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the special education IEP team process for the entire school population.

Compensation and Benefits:

The pay range we’re offering is $26.00-$30.00 annually depending (Based) on experience.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Special Education preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in special education, psychology, social work, child development, or related field required and possess a valid Special Education Credential.
  • Experience of 2-4 years of experience in special education settings, with hands-on experience managing IEP processes, and familiarity with using SEIS.
  • Ability to train and support staff in implementing special education strategies and complying with IEP requirements.

  • Must pass pre-employment physical exam, TB and drug screening
  • Ability to commute to various sites

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and facilitate the entire IEP process, including the coordination and scheduling of meetings, documentation, and compliance checks.
  • Provide ongoing training and support to teachers and staff related to special education practices and the specific needs of students. This includes the development of educational materials and the implementation of effective teaching strategies.
  • Ensure that the school program operates in line with state and federal regulations.
  • Work closely with school administrators, special education staff, and external agencies to advocate for resources and support that enhance educational outcomes for students with disabilities.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of program improvements and initiatives aimed at enhancing the inclusivity and effectiveness of special education services.
  • Perform record search for educational rights holders.
  • Ensure all students have a current IEP.
  • Contribute and aid the District Psychologist with testing and assessments.
  • Maintain a professional relationship and service-oriented demeanor with parents, districts, staff, and regulatory agencies.
  • Schedule and facilitate all Annual Reviews and Triennial Reviews and coordinate all necessary paperwork/personnel for meetings.
  • Identify and notify districts of students needing surrogates appointed.
  • Contact and send correspondence to parents/educational rights holders.
  • Send for, track, and file student records including documents and materials containing confidential and sensitive data.
  • All other related duties as assigned.
