Job Summary: 

• Coordination and participation in patient care activities on a nursing unit, or house-wide, during a specific shift; participation in Nursing Administration operations as a member of the management team.
• Offers instruction , support and care to patient, family and/or significant others who are experiencing disease processes and treatments.
• Assesses care and serves as a resource and support for hospital clients and staff.
• Provides appropriate direct instruction and orientation for nursing staff.
• Responsibility for house-wide supervision of patient care during an 8 or 12 hour shift to ensure healthcare is delivered in a caring, safe, expedient and efficient manner.
• Serves as a liaison between nursing management, staffing and unit patient care coordinators.

Educational/Licensing: 

• Nursing school graduate.
• Licensed as Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS required.

Qualifications: 

• Three to five years pertinent clinical/management experience.
• Clinical excellence, leadership abilities, teaching competency, critical thinking and excellent communication skills.
