McKenney is Hiring an Assistant Project Manager - ACS Atlanta - E Near Atlanta, GA

JOB SUMMARYThe primary focus will be to act in support of existing ACS Project Managers and provide coordination in manpower allocation and support, material logistics, installation supervision, estimating and pricing, preconstruction reviews, and project documentation.DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Estimating and budgeting
  • Written proposals
  • Marketing/sales
  • Customer development and retention
  • Planning and scheduling
  • Cost control
  • Ensuring quality and performance
  • Timely invoicing of all work completed to date and conscientious follow-up on collection of money due to ensure positive cash flow
  • Supervision of field crews
  • Safety awareness, training, promotion
  • Warranty administration
  • Design coordination
  • Managing projects under PM Supervision
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree or at least 4 years of field leadership experience
  • At least one year of automation controls experience in the HVAC mechanical, Audio Visual, Security, or Lighting industries.
  • Must have PC experience in Windows environments including a working knowledge of spreadsheets, e-mail, and Web-enabled applications
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Construction degree
  • Co-op or intern experience in this field
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks at different stages of completion
  • Ability to respond to urgent requests and complete urgent tasks
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Must have a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals
  • Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed and determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance.
  • Must possess and maintain exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others.
  • Must have PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software.
  • Must be a self-starter, with the ability to work well as part of a team and independently
  • Basic understanding of computer IP networks
  • Familiarity with mechanical concepts such as flow, pressure, and heat transfer.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTS
  • Work involves moderate exposure to elements, such as hot/cold temperatures, dirt, dust, and loud noises.
  • The work environment involves some exposure to construction-related hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
  • Light physical effort. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds and some standing or walking.
  • Work requires local and occasional out-of-town travel to job sites and customer locations.
