About the Role:
As a Software Developer at McGohan Brabender, you will design, develop and maintain software applications, automation scripts, services and other process automation tools. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented individual, focused on collaboration with other IT and non-IT resources to create the best customer centered solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineer and develop cross-browser, cross device compliant user interface code using PHP, JavaScript, C# and the Microsoft .NET framework.
- Full Microsoft stack development of automated services (Windows and web-based) with SQL Backend.
- Write high quality, semantic, testable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Work with business teams to create technical requirements and deliver within time and scope.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry technologies and best practices, applying them where appropriate to our projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (CS, MIS, etc.) preferred, experience may serve as an adequate substitute for a degree.
- Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft .NET, C#, SQL, APIs (REST), PHP.
- Experience with the use of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or similar).
- Knowledge of basic (batch, Excel VBA) and web (HTML5, JS, CSS) scripting.
- Experience with CRMs (Salesforce is a plus).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Previous experience in insurance industry/brokerage is a plus.
