Essential Duties:
The Landscape Designer will provide support to design projects, including design, site visits (photo documentation, site measurement), agency submittals, plant & landscape supply research, plan take-offs to aide in installation bidding, prepare graphic presentations and provide general clerical assistance.
Responsibilities:
· Utilize computer aided design and drafting to develop graphic representation of projects
· Prepare 3-D renderings
· Prepare renderings using SketchUp
· Planting plans
· Layout & grading plans
· Irrigation plans
· Landscape construction detailing
· Landscape construction specifications
· Create project narratives
· Plan plotting and deliveries
· Photo document all aspects of project sites
· Clearly document photo locations and orientations in relation to the site
· Take as-built measurements of existing site elements.
· Clearly document site measurements
· Meet with customer to discover project goals
· Meet with customer for finished plan presentation
· Research various plant materials to assist project managers
· Research materials required for various design projects to determine availability and cost
· Create project submittal applications (such as building permits)
· Research of city and county codes and regulations
· Create project narratives
· Plan plotting and deliveries
· Other duties as assigned
Qualification Requirements:
· Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture or 2-5 years of experience in landscape design.
· License in Landscape Architecture (any US State), preferred.
· Familiarity with GIS
· Proficient with computer aided design and drafting specifically, Autocad, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop), Sketchup, hand drafting
