Job Description

Ronald McDonald House Charities provides essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare.

RMHC strives to be part of the solution to issues challenging families today. Families are challenged with how to stay near and support a hospitalized child;

how to afford staying together in another city while a child is undergoing treatment; or even getting basic medical and dental care in underserved communities.

We use our resources and partnerships in the community to help families gain access to healthcare services and keep families together during critical points in their children's lives.

Currently, this portfolio of Chapters has combined assets of more than US$2.5 billion. In addition to financial reserves, these assets include 386 Ronald McDonald House, 268 Ronald McDonald Family Room and 41 Ronald McDonald Care Mobile programs that serve 5.

5 million children and their families each year.

As a critical part of the RMHC Global Operations Team, Field Operations strengthens the global network by working with local Chapters on all aspects of nonprofit management, program development, and operations.

This includes responsibility for Chapter & program licensing, program development, capacity building, relationship management, and compliance.

Nine Field Operations Associate Directors each manage a portfolio of Chapters by region around the world.

Position Purpose

The core purpose of the Field Resource Support Team Supervisor is to steward RMHC excellence through the development and maintaining of resources and support infrastructure for the RMHC Field Ops team and Chapters around the world.

The Field Resource Support Team Supervisor will report to the Field Resource Support Team Manager.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with the Field Resource Support team, the broader Field Operations team and other stakeholders in capturing and tracking organizational and external trends and leading practices.
  • Support the development and maintenance of field resources that anticipate or respond to trends within RMHC standards, guidelines and guiding principles.
  • Collect and curate resources that promote leading practices within the RMHC system and share those resources through internal knowledge to expand usage of proven practices.
  • Collaborate in the execution of key RMHC Impact Strategy Initiatives.
  • Data Analytics
  • Analyze system-wide data and participate in defining queries and reports that support system support and RMHC Global communications.
  • Analyze RMHC Chapter data to support Field Associate Directors in their work with Chapters and provide benchmarking and side by side comparisons.
  • Build and establish a level of expertise in RMHC data sources.
  • Collaboration & Engagement
  • Facilitate collaboration and engagement between RMHC Global and Chapters, including peer learning opportunities. Support regional and global connection points.
  • Lead development of standard presentations.
  • Provide point-of-view, build strong relationships and foster teamwork to achieve maximum performance.
  • Process Management
  • Manage day-to-day activities ensuring adherence to standards, timelines, budgets, effective communication and collaboration.
  • Plan, Schedule and Prioritize : manage time effectively; well organized, flexibly multi-task competing and concurrent priorities.

Qualifications

A minimum of three (3) years in the nonprofit sector; working with / for community-based initiatives or equivalent experience in association management.

  • Knowledge of non-profit practices. Ability to support organizational strengthening within a non-profit organization.
  • Ability to use Excel to analyze data and tell a story
  • A 'team-player' that works cooperatively with others and acts in ways that support the success of the overall team.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations and show cultural and interpersonal sensitivity.
  • Ability to navigate and work through complex issues with a strategic, tactical, and fresh perspective.
  • Effective communication skills to convey thoughts verbally or in writing in an articulate, confident and compelling manner;

show versatility as a communicator in adapting style to suit varied audiences.

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • The position is based in RMHC Global / McDonald's Corporation offices in Chicago, Illinois. Limited travel time on an annual basis.
