Job Description

This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee and not McDonald’s USA.

McDonald’s cashiers are responsible for a broad range of tasks including taking customers’ orders and running food out to designated tables.

Due to the nature of the work environment, the ability to multitask and communicate effectively is key for this position.

As a McDonald’s cashier, you will primarily be responsible for taking orders and bagging food. You will also be in charge of making sure that customers receive the correct order and that customer requests are communicated directly to the grill team.

The primary job duties of McDonald’s cashiers can be quite varied and include the following :

  • Inputting customer orders into the store POS system
  • Making correct change and following store policies on coupons and gift cards
  • Greeting customers and making them feel welcome as they enter the store
  • Communicating customer complaints directly to management and attempt to resolve them
  • Keeping your designated work area clean at all times
