Essential Duties And Major Responsibilities
- Greets customers in a friendly manner and takes food and drink orders.
- Prepares and serves beverages, ranging from simple to elaborate ones.
- Prepares and serves food items such as soups, sandwiches, and pastries.
- Answers customers’ questions about menu choices.
- Promotes and recommends menu options to customers.
- Takes payments from customers.
- Maintains inventory and equipment by cleaning, troubleshooting, and scheduling repairs.
- Keeps the work environment sanitary and organized.
- Evaluates and modify processes to improve efficiency and quality of service.
- Works to attract new customers and expand the menu.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
- Follow scheduled hours as needed, defined by your manager.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- 1-year of experience in a barista role is preferred.
- 1- year of prior customer service is required.
- Ability to listen well and communicate in a professional and friendly manner.
- Ability to focus on and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ability to practice basic safety procedures with respect to equipment and handling hot beverages.
- Be efficient and organized.
- Ability to build good relationships with customers.
- Capable of maintaining a clean work environment while keeping supplies replenished to minimize downtime.
