This new hire will work at McCormick's global headquarters located in Hunt Valley, MD. The Senior Marketing Manager, eCommerce Delivery will report to the Director of eCommerce & OMNI Channel.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

This Senior Manager, e-Commerce Delivery will be responsible for the direction, development, and execution of strategic Digital Enablement plans across all key PurePlay and Omni retailers. In this position, the incumbent will lead and drive all sales digital enablement strategies as well as own the development and execution of McCormick’s go to market approach for digital shelf management and optimization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads annual planning and in-market delivery of those plans to win in e-Commerce Pure Play and Omnichannel, adapting and optimizing plans accordingly to delivery net sales and profit targets in-year and over the life of the long-term plan (LTP).
  • Develops internal ways of working to enhance and optimize the go to market approach for digital content syndication to all key retailers by partnering with cross functionals (Omni Team, Pure Play, ME, IT, Data Management, and Sales).
  • Provides direction, coaching, and support to direct report to be successful with work plans and performance.
  • Provides regular business updates and critical learning to senior leadership; recommends strategies to achieve digital shelf excellence, bringing external thinking to continually raise the bar for McCormick in this fast-changing space.
  • Leads cross-functional teams to achieve in-market results with agile innovation, Global Marketing, Omnichannel, Field Sales, IT, among others.
  • Provides direction for IBP integration of e-Commerce, partnering with Pure Play Salesthroughout the process.
  • Establish and drive industry leading eCommerce digital shelf strategy for a multi-category product assortment that exceeds financial goals and own and develop score carding including metrics that will allow the team to measure and monitor progress against all digital shelf KPI’s.
  • Lead efforts to deploy, train and support field sales leads to effectively manage the digital shelf with tools, coaching and ongoing support. This leader will also help to develop and scale the digital shelf maturity model (people and process).
  • Partner with IT and Global Marketing on NA requirements for digital shelf technology capabilities and other capabilities such as ratings & reviews, CSP engagement and going technology enhancements to meet the needs of customers.
  • Integrates eCommerce capabilities into annual planning, strategic growth conversations and owns market level execution of plans with optimizations based on changes in market for eCommerce that align with volume and profit growth objectives

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA in Marketing/Digital Marketing/ Shopper Marketing/Sales/Digital Sales
  • Minimum of 5 years demonstrated success building brands in consumer-packaged goods marketing, including annual and long-range plan development and execution, brand building with a focus on e-Commerce and/or Omnichannel marketing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven team leadership and employee management and development skills
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience participating in digital marketing and sales efforts
  • Proven experience in understanding broad business lens to include Sales, Marketing, Shopper Marketing and Finance functions
  • High level strategic & analytical thinking, strategic selling, communication, negotiation, team & relationship building skills
  • In-depth understanding of concepts and procedures within Marketing and Sales - including advertising, promotion, shopper marketing, insights and analytics. Exposure and thought leadership in the digital space.
  • Ability to engage and inspire others through passion for achieving success.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication & organizational skills required.
  • Developed communication & diplomacy skills required to negotiate internally and externally at Executive levels. Negotiations have impact on business and involve both internal and external parties. Internal key relationships with sales planning and field sales, marketing services, finance and IT
  • Management responsibility for cross functional team in a cross functional, matrixed environment
  • Ability to influence and understands how to drive results through others and multiple functions
  • Understands cultural differences and, if needed, is able to translate ideas and concepts to opportunities outside of US

  • MBA
